With our global responsibility to reduce waste, we are lucky enough to have new and existing independent local businesses who are embracing a new way of thinking and offering a shopping experience to support our environment.
What Is Zero Waste?
Reusing and reducing every day consumer products as much as possible to avoid adding to landfill.
Instead of buying products with non degradable packaging and throwing out plastic containers, these are kept by consumers, cleaned and used again to refill products at zero waste shops.
Alternatively, consumers may choose to buy good quality reusable food safe containers that can be used at zero waste shops too.
You can choose and purchase the quantity which is priced by the weight so there is less waste and cost to you as you pay for what you need instead of pre-packaged quantities that you may not fully use.
What is this site for?
There is a rapid increase in shops supplying ingredients, household goods, beauty products and more to help consumers with the zero waste initiative and Local Zero Waste are offering support to promote them and make sure consumers know where their nearest zero waste supplier is.
